Trendy Hand Made Copper Money Clips

Money Clip Benefits:
1. Money clips are safer than wallets. Next time you are out and looking at random men's bottoms :), look at the back pockets of these men. You will see what an indent the wallet makes in the pocket. This makes the carrier a prime target for thieves who’ve perfected the skill of pick-pocketing. Also, don't forget it saves your butt from hurting when sitting too long unlike the bulge of a wallet!
2. Money clips are easier than wallets. With a money clip you have faster access to your cash and credit cards, no more fumbling around with a wallet and all it entails. Take out all that material between you, your cards and your cash.
3. Our copper money clip is lighter than a wallet. Don’t believe us, weigh a money clip and weigh a wallet. Hands down the money clip will be lighter every time. Money clips also lighten your load because you are only taking what you need.
4. Our money clips have space to personalize and engrave. There are more options to customize and personalize a money clip than a wallet. They make great conversation pieces and help others get a glimpse into your personality if you so wish.
5. Money clips are an OCD person's organization on autopilot. Don’t juggle through your wallet's many pockets and crevasses looking for your credit cards or bills. Just grab your cash and go. Keep your wallet for all those cards you rarely use and take the money clip when you’re making things happen.
6. Money clips save time compared to wallets. Finding and grabbing cash or cards from a money clip easier and when seconds count, you can’t beat the speed of a handy money clip.
7. Our Money clips are much less expensive than wallets. Next time you’re in a department store check out the prices on designer wallets versus designer money clips. We’re betting that in most instances, you’ll find the money clip is cheaper…which in turn brings us to benefit 8.
8. Carry and use multiple money clips at the same time. Since money clips are very affordable, you can have one for receipts, one for just cash and one for just your cards. Are you a businessman that caries around business cards to advertise well why not throw a stack into a separate money clip so that you can hold enough to last you a full night at an event.
9. Money clips are cool, hip and trendy. Am I wrong to think money clips make for good conversation pieces. They not only look great but they are more functional, easier and quicker than wallets. They connote that “here’s a no nonsense type of guy who means business.” Of course, trends come and go, but money clips are always a hot commodity. The copper money clips go with any outfit!
10. Money clips make great gifts. A money clip can be an impersonal or personal gift depending on who’s giving it and how it’s personalized. It can be great gift for graduations, corporate events, wedding parties, or for that someone special. Give groomsmen something they can use more than once unlike cufflinks! Also, the price is right for any occasion and the sentiment is meaningful.
QUESTIONS:
What are some reasons why you may use wallets instead of money clips?
Maybe your dad or your grandfather used wallets and you only use wallets because that's what they did and you had just never thought about a money clip because wallets have always seemed to just work or maybe you didn't think they were to secure or you just couldn't fit enough in them.
Do you think that wallets are more secure than money clips?
In fact that is the complete opposite of the truth. Wallets are bulkier and easier for pickpockets to spot and grab. Money clips can be put in any pocket of your clothing easily and comfortably. Even the front shirt pocket holds men's money clips easily.
Why should you use money clips over wallets?
Every person's uses, needs and wants are different of course, so I am not going to tell you why you should use money clips but rather I am going to tell you a quick story of how Gearbiance got started hand making money clips along with why I absolutely love money clips now and why I think you will agree with me!
Myself and everyone I have known since I can remember have always had wallets, so naturally I also used wallets. I have had tri-fold wallets and bi-fold wallets along with an occasional thin leather 1 pocket wallet with a money clip attached on the side. Some of these wallets got pretty bulky at times and very uncomfortable to sit on. The one with the money clip on the side flared out a bit to make it easier to slip the money and cards in I guess, well that hard metal would either poke me when sitting if facing my skin and if I had it facing out you could notice a little funny looking bulge from my pants pocket. Now most of the time I put my wallet in my back pockets but when I go out to crowded places I would put my wallet in my front pants pocket. Even the thinner wallets left a nice bulge in the front pocket and that to me looks funny. The clip broke on the flip clip wallet I had only after 2 or 3 months of use also. Oh, and don't forget how many wallets fall apart, even the nice expensive wallets I have had.
So this is how I got into using money clips. A friend of mine, Jacob Boe, owns a company, Big Daddy Wrap, which is a company that does all types of large format printing and huge business signs and fabrication and whatnot; so he had some left over copper from a job a while back that he plasma cut and shaped to make himself a money clip. It was just under the width of a credit card. I had seen him use his money clip when were at lunch. I had asked him, "How do you not lose anything?" and he said very confused, "What are you talking?". I just did not think it held anything secure enough to keep everything all together. I then asked about what happens when he adds a lot of cash to it then takes out the cash and now the money clip is stretched out so how does he keep using the clip after that. He showed me how super easy it was to squeeze back to fit the smaller stack of cash and cards. Then I was like that is cool and all but wouldn't that break after a few squeezes or at least become weak and loose even after squeezing snug to your cards and he said he has been using that same money clip for at least 3 years now. At this point I was amazed and held it to take a closer look. It looked very good though how the copper blues after handling it and he said it is just that awesome look of copper that the more you use it the better it looks. I was also amazed by how incredibly light it was. It seemed he had more in his money clip than I did my wallet and the money clip was only a quarter of the thickness of my wallet. I put it in my pocket and stood up and instantly I could feel a huge difference. I then said this cannot stay this strong after 3 years. He said it will probably last him at least 20 years. I doubt that I had said and he said we shall see and he took the money clip from me and threw it on the ground. I seriously thought his cards and everything were going to fly everywhere but that dang money clip held everything in place! If that was my wallet and it hit the same way that metal money clip did my stuff would be scattered all over the place. I was using a bi-fold wallet at the time and I always put my receipts and other stuff that did not belong in my wallet in the middle part folded and just sitting in the fold of the wallet.
I had Jacob go make me one after we ate lunch. I have been using my copper money clip for about 6 months now and am still loving the transition. I sorted through my wallet and eliminated a lot of rarely used cards and whatnot. Now it is easy for me to clear the clutter and see exactly what is in my wallet money clip at just a glimpse. I am now converted into a 100% money clip fanatic.
Since converting to money clips, I have had so many people as "money clip dumb" as I was ask me basically the same questions I had when I asked Jacob Boe at lunch about his copper money clip. Always after seeing the look of the used blue copper and after proving the value, security and longevity of the copper money clips the last 2 questions I always get is "Where did you get yours?" and "How can I get one?". After enough requests for the money clips and me being his friend, web designer and marketer already I confronted Jacob Boe about building a website and selling the metal money clips online and he thought it was a horrible idea and that for starters the competition is too great to even get any sales and two that his money clip is not fancy enough for people to buy when they have those fancy flip clip money clips and the crazy carbon fiber designs and whatnot out there already. I told him how expensive those other money clips are and how I had a wallet that had a flip money clip on it how it broke after a couple months when I was actually in Harrah's Casino playing blackjack actually. The reason I remember why the clip broke is because I was actually winning and then the clip broke so I took it as sign to run while I was ahead, so I cashed out and left. Anyways, I had told Jacob that people do not want to spend a fortune money clips and that people do not want a money clip especially a metal money clip that is going to break so soon after getting and that people want a money clip that "JUST PLAIN WORKS" and the other positives to Jacob's money clips are the look and light weight of them!
I was always against money clips and I never thought that they would hold my cards and money securely but man was I sadly mistaken!
So anyways, that is the story behind how Copper Money Clips by Gearbiance had gotten started.
Other reasons why you should use money clips :)
